Crazy for this, Luc.
Like Maynard Dixon woodcut by Gustave Baumann.
Shame all these delicious mellow pallettes didn't show up in the movie.

Hi Neil,
Your perceptivity as usual is astounding. I was indeed looking at Dixon and Bauman at the time for inpiration, as well as some of the photographs I took on various trip around the western U.S. including a crazy one to 'Bodie'.
Cheers.

With a little nod towards Kawase Hasui? Or even our old friend Hiroshi Yoshida?

That streak of mid ground light is Desmarchelier and beautifully done, whatever.

Hi Mike,
I am not aware of Kawase Hasui but I fully expect to get one of those 'Wow' moments when one becomes thankful for one's ignorance in the unadultered pleasure of discovery.
As for Yoshida San, he is never far from my mind.
Cheers.
